How to disable SSH timeout?

Hi there

When I ssh to this computer, it will disconnect me automatically after some idle period , and this happens even if I am logged in as root. Is there a setting in config file where I can disable this timeout setting?

The error message that appears on the client side(that ssh-es to the server) is "Connection has been reset by peer"

Both sides are running Red Hat Linux 9

Please help, thanks

Read the man pages for sshd_config and ssh_config. Look for Alive (there are a couple of Alive settings). This will explain what you need to do.

Hi there, are sshd_config or ssh_config commands? I don't seem to have them
