How to Disable Roaming Profiles and Other Questions
I am trying to set up a SuSE server to administer of a variety of computers (PCs, Macs, and the occasional Linux desktop). I'm using Samba, LDAP, Squid, and Webmin. There are several questions I need answered before I implement the new server:
1: Roaming profiles are enabled by default. I am on a domain. They need to be disabled. How?
2: I need to restrict access to the internet. I'm using Squid, but I need it to understand and restrict/allow more websites in an intelligent manner. Is there another program or a better way to filter web sites?
3: There are several levels of filtering I need. Logging in to a domain would seem like a good approach. Maybe filter by login? How?
4: When I log into a domain, root needs to log in. Is there a way to change that to allow multiple levels of restrictions?
Absolutely any input is greatly appreciated.
