How to delete pass 30 days email

Dear Fan,

I setup an email server, since using the web based email, all emails are leaving on server site and running very smoothly. Recently one of my fans ask me for delete every 30 days before emails.

Now I get the trouble, everyday, I must login to the server to help my friend delete the every 30 days before email.

Can anyone tell me how to make it automatically to delete the email.

Thanks

You could setup a cron job to run a little shell script that deletes the email...you might want to just cat /dev/null it to keep the permissions all set.

Dear magyartoth,

It seems not OK. Since the email shown in pop3 account, is one by one without seperate. And the date did not shown in the header.

Can you suggest me how to set the cron job??

Thanks.

Do you even know what cron is? If not may suggest you get one of the many good books availble on system administration? O'rielly's System Administration is a great book for various flavors of Unix/Linux.

Also try man cron, crontab
