HI,
I have installed Redhat 9. I have configured the modem and activate PPP. I don't know what else I should configure to do the
whole work. And how can I pop out a window to send my authenticate information after dialing?
Thank you.
Best
Thank you very much.
However, when I configured the PPP, it said that
"the modem is busy " each time. The device I
chose is "/dev/ttyS0" because Kppp cannot find
the modem when I set it "/dev/modem".
er, thank you. Then how can I choose the appropriate driver for
my modem? I am using the toshiba laptop.
And when I using the "Network Device Control" to configure the modem, I can activate the PPP0 interface. And when I using the
ifconfig and route command, the output is as follows. I don't know
how to configure it later to make it work. I also wondered what the meaning of these addresses: 10.64.64.64, 10.112.112.112,169.254.0.0. How did they come from? Which one should I use? I can get response from pinging 10.64.64.64,
but not from 10.112.112.112.
