How to configure RADIUS with MySQL as backend database
Hi Guys,
Has anyone tried configuring RADIUS server with MySQL as database..? :) The setup is, when a client tries to connect to the network, RADIUS server will forward the request to MySQL databse server to check if the username nd password the client has typed in has a match with what MySQL has in the database before RADIUS server authenticates and authorizes the client. :) Guys do you have any hint on how to do this...or any website that can help me with this?.. :) Another thing is, Does RADIUS server have the capability to allocate a certain bandwith for a certain user after authenticating the client? :) I look forward to hear from you guys, thanks a lot.. Here are some personal notes. Not complete but, you can email me for some help with it.

Configuring FreeRADIUS with MySQL
Hi psychobyte,
Thanks for the information :D It will be of great help. I will try and follow the steps in there because right now, I'm having problems authenticating users in my /etc/passwd file... it's giving me errors... the NAS and the FreeRADIUS server is actually communicating but it won't authenticate... :D I'll let you know if I still have problems or question regarding the integration of FreeRADIUS server with MySQL :D Regards, Ronald |
