Question how to configure MA401 wireess card for Redhat linux 8.0


Can anyone please explain me how to config a netgear MA401 wireless card for Redhat Linux 8.0????

mine worked out of the box..
you just have to activate it..

in kde - go system settings, network, setup your ip settings.. dhcp or static, then click activate.

that SHOULD work.

lemme know if it doesn't.

gonna need some more info to go by then.. do you have onboard nic? is it disabled? Is this for a desktop or laptop? If a laptop, do you have pcmcia setup? etc.. anything that will help

the card is getting detected but the network isnot coming up

i did it as per the info mentioned it in

(well... almost all the info)

when i am giving dump_cis command

when i am booting up its trying to initialise wireless device and giving an telling that its not present
when i go in network configuration and try to do manual entries and get this up its telling cannot activate it..
i had given irq11 and i dont know the other parameters of Network adaptor configuration

why is my hp laptop locking up when it detects this card, can anyone help. This is my last card so I have no other choice...please help
