How to activate sit0 interface?

hi, i want to know what is sit0 is used for, and how to activate it and where are the configuration files of this interface?

Does this affect # mii-tool, because when i do mii-tool

I think sit is brought back to live automatically by the kernel.

Check the information on IPROUTE2 (http://www.policyrouting.org/)

You can activate it using

# /sbin/ifconfig sit0 up

To deactivate,

# /sbin/ifconfig sit0 down

Don't know about mii-tools but put it down and see if mii-tools work and then see result after bringing it up you should know.
