how do you upgrade the firmware
on this lucent orinoco .11b card that im using?
it's using the 6.06 version firmware (from dmesg), and i patched it with the v0.13d from david gibsons site to support scanning.
i would like to upgrade to firmware > 6.16.

The safest, and mostly only way is to get back into windows and use the program off the card's support page. If you computer doesnt have windows, take the card out and find one that does.

ahh , ok. so i install the drivers for the card on win32, download, and upgrade the firmware using the win32 exe's? is that what i should be doing?
