Question how do I transfer a 3GB file with SAMBA?

I'm having trouble transfering a 3GB file from a windows machine to a redhat 9 server with smbclient. I've tried smbmount and smbclient, in both the file is reported as a crazy huge size (something like 15,000,000,000 GB). SAMBA has a 2 GB file maximum size, does anyone know a way to get arround this?

thanks

I've tried it now with the command "smbmount //winsystem/share /mnt/windows -o lfs, username=user" and it mounts fine but still gives the same problem.
