How do I start dhclient automatically at boot-up?

Can someone point me to a tutorial (or whatever) on having dhclient automatically start when I boot the OS up? (Redhat 9). I've made a valiant effort (really and truly) to read the FM, but the choices for dhclient.conf are pretty overwhelming. :-( I don't particularly need to have my hand held every step of the way, but kind of need a helping hand, such as a tutorial, just to get going. (I'm not looking for general information on how an application is set to start-up automatically but guidance specific to dhclient).

Thanks,
John

It depends on the distribution.

They use different configuration files.

or add the dhclient to the boot scripts (rc.local, bootmisc.sh... depending on the distribution).

Yeah, that works! Just add the "dhclient eth0" to /etc/rc.d/rc.local. Solves my problem with the minimum of trouble. Thanks.

I read in this link www.linuxhomenetworking.com/linux-hn/dchp.htm#_Toc92808213 that you can use:

Code:
chkconfig dhcpd on

This configures DHCP to start at boot.
