How do I setup a Bind DNS Server

Hi ,

I've got the following setup :

Adsl Router (192.168.1.1)

Slackware 10.2 Linux box (external interface 192.168.1.150 , internal interface 192.168.0.10)

I want my Slackware Linux box to act as the DNS server, which can resolve addresses on the local network as well as on the internet.

How do I go about this in the most simple, straight-forward way ? I have searched for configuration manuals/guides on the internet, but they all seem to configure it in a different way.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

ok, well seeing as you didn't actually mention bind outside of the DNS server i would personally suggest you look at dnsmasq instead of BIND. this runs a combined integrated dns and dhcp server and does a very good job with a single config file of about 10 lines. works great for a small home network.
