How do I set up a home network on Ubuntu?

Hi, i have Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on 2 of my home systems and others running windows (XP), how do i go about setting up a home network so i can share files and printers safely? Is there a tutorial or something, i am looking for a kind of simple way to get this done if possible. Thanks, all help is appreciated :)

You would most likely use Samba. A quick google reveals several tutorials/howtos:

Ya that looks like what i'll want to do, thanks for the links, i didn't know i would have to use a seperate app, but I think that will work good b/c of the cross platformness. Thanks,
