after export CC=gcc34 CXX=g++34 && ./install
i got this

* Build tcl8.4.18
============================================================
configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --enable-gcc
./configure: line 1992: config.log: Permission denied
./configure: line 2002: config.log: Permission denied
tcl8.4.18 configuration failed! Exiting ...
Tcl is not part of the ns project. Please see www.Scriptics.com
to see if they have a fix for your platform.

← #17.
Quote:
Permission denied
Please get a new ns-allinone-2.33.tar.gz from
http://softlayer-ams.dl.sourceforge....ne-2.33.tar.gz
.. and use tar to unpack : $ tar xvf ns-allinone-2.33.tar.gz
`Permission deniedŽ can be caused by using a Windows© tool.

And no root commands ! Will cause `Permission deniedŽ.
* root is only for 'make install' and for copying 'ns-zrp' to /usr/local/bin/ .

← #16. Nam :
Not easy to build a 'nam' with ns-2.26....ns-2.34 ,
... this is easier : # yum localinstall nam-1.14-*

← #19 .

Well, shouldn't take many minutes. 5 - 10 ?
You have all the commands, and can copy/paste those with the mouse.
No reason to do much typing.

And compiling is fast with a modern computer.
