how do i rename wlan0 to eth1
I have a ethernet adapter and some software someone wrote only uses devices that start with eth ie eth0 eth1 ect... So when in install my ethernet card it shows up as wlan0, how can i get it to show up as eth1?
I am using redhat 7.3 thanks |
that entry has to go in /etc/modules.conf or /etc/modprobe.conf
alias eth1 wlan0 |
Ehhhhh, something that shows up as "wlan0" is not an Ethernet card, it's using 802.11 which is completely different than 802.3.
