How do I remove a PPPoE Configuration in Ubuntu?
Hi!
I ran pppoeconf when I set it up, but now I want to remove it... I don't need it anymore as I now have the internet coming in direct through the LAN.
If ppp is invoked on boot, then have a look in the /etc/rc?.d directories and you should see links like S??ppp which are links to /etc/init.d/ppp. Just rename those links to K??ppp or else simply delete the links. That will prevent pppd from being started at boot.
For the configuration files, they will be in a few places:
/etc/chatscripts/
/etc/ppp/peers/
/etc/ppp/chap-secrets
/etc/ppp/pap-secrets
And maybe there are pppoe config files too - I can't recall and I don't have my laptop that has pppoe set up.

Thank you pinniped. I didn.t find links to /etc/init.d/ppp. I renamed file with settings for my provider in /etc/ppp/peers/. I commented pppoe settings in /etc/network/interfaces file and configured Static IP address for eth0 network interface card. sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart and it's working.
