how do i keep wget from timing out

I am downloading some software packages and leaving it overnight in the hopes that it will download everything but when I wake up in the morning i find that the connection had timed out. How do i keep the machine from timing out the wget connection so I can have all my my software packages.

You can increase the timeouts, as indicated in 'man wget'. For example:
