I just installed Samba and added this entry to the smb.conf file ... Code: [public] comment = Selenium Server directory path = /opt/selenium public = yes writable = no I want to be able to access this directory from a Virutal Windows XP box running on my Ubuntu machine. I would like this directory to be immediately available to Windows upon booting the virtual machine (i.e. don't want to enter credentials). My question is, how do I find the shared directory I just set up on my WinXP machine? Thanks, - Dave

In other words, how do I find the folder I shared on Linux in the list? I don't see anything in the "Browse" list that resembles my Linux shared directory. I have an entry that reads "VirtualBox Shared Folders" but I don't see my Linux directory under there. - Dave

And to Map it does the same thing do map network drive select a drive letter and type in \\ipaddress\path\to\smb\share Have you ever mapped a drive in windows? if not i would go read up on it. Where is the rest of your smb.conf file? are you sure it is all set up?
