How Do I Connect To Internet Using Fedora Core 5?? @ Total 1st Timer

Hello, i've just installed fedora core on my old computer

It seems to be running fine the only thing is i cannot access the internet as i have absolutly NO idea of what i am doing so it would be appreciated immensly if you could help me out. SO here goes

I have a fresh install of Fedora core 5.(FC5)
I have BT Broadband Package 3 and a BT Voyager 2091 Wiresless Router

How can i get my machine with FC5 installed to use my connection so i am able to browse the web.

Thanks

if you are connecting with a cable to the router then there is no configuration to do... but you've not said anythign at all about how you actually go about conencting with your internal network. if we have to suss it out for you, what does, for example, the output of "ifconfig" and "route -n" say? are you expecting the wireless side to also be working already?

Yes im connecting to my router with a cable i have a USB2 and Ethernet

and erm how do i get an output responce from them? i opened the terminal and all i got was

[owenmelbz@localhost ~] ipconfig(or ifconfig i tried them both)
bash: ip/ifconfig: command not found
[owenmelbz@localhost ~]$ route -n
bash route: command not found

bin the usb cable, let's do it properly...

you need to run them as root, or use the full path, /sbin/ifconfig and /sbin/route.

How Do I Connect To Internet Using Fedora

I just read acid's reply (/sbin/ifconfig). While I didn't post the question, the answer was a big help to a question I had. Thanks.
