How do I configure a Cnet 200 Pro Ethernet adapter w/MDK 9.1
K, I just got a Cnet 200 Pro ethernet adapter b/c the other ones that I tried didn't work. Can anyone help me configure it (I did what the instructions said, but it didn't work).
It comes with a makefile that I'm supposed to run, I ran it w/ the proper options (according to the directions), and it said:
Warning: <something, I don't rember>/malloc.h is depreciated, use <something again>/slab.h instead
That was it, and it seemed to compile OK.
I then ran insmod dmfe and it said:
Error:<some path again>/dmfe.o.gz:INIT_DRIVER:No such device
It then gave me some hints as to which may cause this such as mis-configured irq's, etc. but this card is supposed to set itself up (besides, there are no jumpers on the card anyway.
I was then supposed to run a ifconfig command, but I figured that since I already have gotten these errors, it wouldn't work. I tried it anyway. The manual said to do:
ifconfig eth0 <ip address>
But since I use DHCP, I tried this instead, and here's the output
ifconfig eth0 dhcp
dhcp: unable to locate dhcp server
Did I do something wrong, or is there something extra I have to do w/MDK 9.1??
