How can i encrypt the password in .fetchmailrc??


Hello,

I've created a perfect fetchmailrc script but how can i encrypt
the passwords with a als blank text in the file?

so that when someone openend the file they can not read the passwords??

u cant....
just have to set the permissions on the file so that only u can read it, choose an email password that is different to any other passwd u hav incase ur machine is hacked, or set it up so it asks u for a password every time.
original pop sends the password in clear text anyways. ssl or other encrypted mail retreival methods dont send the password in clear text (cos all traffic is encrypted) but the text has to go in to the encrypted tunnel from ur end as clear anyways.....
