how can I change the Samba Domain?

I have an LDAP backend to my Samba and the sambaDomain attribute is
different from my WORKGROUP setting in my smb.conf. I try to rename the
sambaDomain and it automatically creates a new sambaDomain attribute with
the old name, meaning now there are two sambaDomain attributes. Apparently
it is getting the domain from somewhere, and it is obviously not getting it
from the WORKGROUP value, so where is it getting the value so that I can
change it there so it will change correctly?

So, no one knows where OpenLDAP gets the sambaDomain attribute from?

Nobody can tell me how to change my domain name?

I have asked on the OpenLDAP forum, on the Samba forum, and asked a guy at work that knows a lot about Linux and no one seems to be able to tell me. It is pretty sad when people at OpenLDAP and Samba do not even know.

Can someone please help me? This is really starting to frustrate me.
