How can i build ppp in a arm board which has uclinux os

My development is s3c4510 embeddy board, and uclinux's vision is 2.0.x. I want to establish a ppp through a hard-modem. I try it like in the reahat8.0 which write some dialout script, as ppp-on, ppp-off, and ppp-dial, unfortunately i can't build it.
i want to know that on the uclinux can i build ppp through write some dialout script. If it can , what can i do , should i use uclinux-2.4.x? and if it can't build, what can i do. Pleaes give me some suggestions and instruction.
Thanks!
