hostname -f giving no results

Having a small problem with the hostname. When typing

Code:

root@server:~# hostname -f
hostname: Unknown host

there seems to have a problem... but not with a simple

Code:

root@server:~# hostname
server.*******.info

This is a clean install of ubuntu server edition (feisty fawn) and there are only two modifications:
1.

Code:

echo server.*******.info > /etc/hostname

And
2.

Code:

root@server:~# cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost
10.0.4.10       serveur.*******.info serveur

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1     ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts

Does anyone understand this?
Everything seems to be all right...

I will answer myself but viewing my post... i was writing serveur (which is in french) instead of server like the real name of the machine.

I was using both idiomas, but should only use english when naming a machine... doh.

Sorry for writing this non-problem!
