home webserver??

hi,,

is it possible to make a simple server by using my laptop that is connected to the internet via wireless connection to the internet at my home?
if yes any hints? tutorials, books, etc...
sorry if the question is silly...

It won't be particularly useful unless you laptop is always on. You may need to use a service like dyndns if you don't have a static public IP
