Help on Server name

I had confired a Linux Server (Red Hat 8.0). While configuring for the 1st time I had named the server as test. Now I changed the name of the server to cb. It is working fine.
But the name of the server in the /etc/hosts remains to be the test. As i changed the name of the server to my new name and send mail from the server to itself or other server it says

sanjib@cb... Connecting to cb.boseinst.ernet.in. via relay...
sanjib@cb... Deferred: Connection refused by cb.boseinst.ernet.in.

But if I keep the name of the server in the host as test it allows me to send mails
