Linux sends LCP packet ............Blinks lamp TD on the modem blinks....

No answer ..... lamp RD does not blink.......no connect.....

What is????

man slow down. are you connecting linux -> windoze or windoze -> linux
in any case pppd 2.4.1 needs patching (check pppd site). to use mschap authentication you need to apply another patch to pppd, otherwise use pap authentication (plain password)
