i'm new to this linux thing. i've install qmail twice now but both have the same problem. both installation, somewhere along the line, my SMTP suddenly
stop. i don't know why this could be happening. when i check the log, this message was recorded

@400000003e93f08108d72924 tcpserver: fatal: unable to figure out port number for smtp

i dont believe that my tcpserver installation was wrong or anything but that again, i'm still very new to this subject. can someone please help me with the possible solution... this is bugging me for quiet some time now.

second prob, during my second time installation, when i run ./inst_check,
this message appear

'! svscan /service' doesn't seem to be running

i've already change the run files in smtpd and send folder into executable.
i've also already change the /var/qmail/rc into executable format also.
and ive already change all of this file into dos2unix format. i've already created the links needed for the smtp and send supervises' files. this possible solutions was given to me in another forum. the error is still there.can anybody please2x help me with both of these problems.i have already have sleepless night thinking about this problem.

i've manage to solve both of the problems. i would now want to test my email whether it is working or not. i've try using qmail inject to my root directory but i do not know whether it is working or not. any suggestion in troubleshooting this?
