Aug 2 22:05:16 katrina kernel: Forged DCC command from 192.168.0.1: 64.89.166.28:4979

I finally gave up on tryin to get a firewall script running myself and downloaded Firestarter again. This works pretty well for me as far as being a firewall and NAT and it allows me to receive files via DCC on mIRC but not send them or DCC chat either. I get the above entries in my syslog when I attempt to initiate a dcc send or chat. I have been reading about ip_masq_irc and ip_conntrack_irc which are modules that would allow me to send and chat...I just have no clue as how to implement them. Would one of you gurus out there impart some wisdom on me please?...

[root@katrina root]# lsmod | grep irc
ip_nat_irc 3680 0 (unused)
iptable_nat 20980 3 [ip_nat_irc ip_nat_ftp ipt_MASQUERADE ipt_REDIRECT]
ip_conntrack_irc 3840 0 (unused)
ip_conntrack 21132 4 [ip_nat_irc ip_nat_ftp ipt_state ipt_MASQUERADE ipt_REDIRECT iptable_nat ip_conntrack_irc ip_conntrack_ftp]

I am guessing that right there is showing that the modules aren't loaded.

An alternative is installing dircproxy on your NAT gateway, to get your DCC's to work.
