I got some problem on my buildin network adapter at X22 notebook.
I installed redhat linux 7.3 on X22 and running on 100mb network
environment is fine. but when i change the network to 10mb
environment. and after 1 or 3 minutes. the x22 network adapter will fail with no reason.
I have try to restart the linux's network utility
(/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart), the network will be restart and ok. but
still after 1 or 3 minutes. then will be fail with no reason.
after use lsmod in my linux console.
i think my have installed two network module
one is : eepro100
and another is : wvlan_cs (i use wireless network card on my x22)
there were a lot of files in /var/log. but I don't know which one will
contain error message in it. could you help me ??
One thing I forgot to ask originally. How are you changine from 100Mb to 10Mb (and why!). I take it that you are trying to use the normal ethernet card not a highspeed wireless link yeah?
ok. I forget to explain why I need to change network between
100 and 10.
When I working at my office. our network environment was setting
up 100 ethernet. but our meeting room was 10. so somethings I need
to install my notebook in meeting for presentation to our customer.
I'll use rdesktop in meeting room to connect micrisoft terminal server
for micrisoft project2000. so I need network running for me.
