Gmail as POP3
 

I want to read Gmail in KMail or so. Is there any script for linux like gotmail for hotmail?
There is an utility for Windows (http://jaybe.org/info.htm) but I'm searching for a linux alternative.

I set this up on my daughter's machine recently works ok
was a bit of a pain to configure though.

just get kmail or thunderbird, etc to retrieve your email from google. get pop and smtp servers and your email addr. The programs will guide you in setup. This will mean you wouldn't have to use your web browser.
