Getting vncserver to run automatically when user logs in

cheers for the help earlier.

but i am now trying to get vnc server to run automatically when a user logs in.

its only a home network so i have set my linux machine (RH9) to automatically log my user account in when the machine starts up that works ok.

what i am struggling with is getting the vncserver command to run automatically after my user account has logged in. i found a few posts similar but none of them have worked.

any help would be much appreciated

graphical login? KDE? then put a link or a short script into ~/.kde/Autostart

kde desktop with standard login, will try that now cheers

am i right in thinking that the command would be whilst in that dir

ln /usr/bin/vncserver

which has created the link there and does try and run something when it starts because it came up with a selection box asking what i wanted it to run in and i selected terminal. and run everytime with this. but it still doesnt seem to run it as i cannot connect via a viewer and when i physicaly type vncserver it starts at window :1 not 2 as i would expect if it had started
