installed 9.0

OK, well, I took a blind leap and upgraded to version 9.0. I thought maybe it would be more friendly to my network. However, now I can not even run "netconfig". It can see my ethernet card, but when I try to "activate" it, i get an error about "3c509 eth0 does not seem to be present."

So, I am back to square one.

Any suggestions?

It picks up 192.168.1.1 as a "Primary DNS." Is that OK? That is my router.
