Getting 2 NICs to talk to both ends of the network
I might have figured out my problem to my previous question.
It seems that the NICs aren't playing nice.
If I have both of them connected the PC I'm using can usually talk to both NICs in the Linux machine, but not the gateway.
Here is my setup
eth0 192.168.59.230/24 with a gateway of 192.168.59.231
eth1 192.168.59.231/24 with a gateway of 192.168.59.1
Router 192.168.59.1
I'm probably going about this wrong someway because when I CAN communicate with both NICs from my PC I can't ping the gateway (59.1), even if I'm on the Linux machine, it says 192.168.59.230 destination unreachable. However, if I take eth0 down and ping the gateway from eth1 alone, it works fine, and I can get out to the Internet.
Is this a routing problem?
