General question about gsm sim card module

Ok, I just bought a dell minicard gsm module/modem, and I can connect to the internet just fine, no problems at all. Now here are my questions.... not sure if this is the right area for this... is there any specific sim card utilities, as far as reading the sim card contacts from it, and/or changing the sim card password? The modem is internal, so I am not looking for programs such as gammu or wammu, as these do not work.

Also, on that note, is it possible to either send text messages and/or make phone calls using the internal modem? I currently have at&t, and once again, I can connect to the internet and such, but I am just trying to see what all I can do with it. Yes, I use skype for phone calls, but I am trying to get research to see if this is possible just using the sim card straight up. Thanks guys.

Put it in your cellular and if you have sim-tool-kit you probably can figure out what you can do with it.
And another good idea to read manual for modem or contact vendor or ISP.
