I have set up a gateway for my office and I don't know which distrubition to use. I mean which one is better using a new version or using an old version and making patches ?

Thank you ?

What's the spec of the machine? Will you want to control it via the gui on the machine or via VNC, etc?

If it's a low spec box, you can install any of the distros as long as you don't add KDE/Gnome/etc.

Hi
The machine isn't a low spec box. I want to contro it with a GUI. The basic problem is security. I mean the distro and version is important for handling security problems easily.

There are a number of secure distros - Bastille Linux is an addon for Redhat and Debian which 'hardens' the kernel.
