ftpd *only* on one interface

OK, I've searched for this but haven't found it....

I need to fire up two ftp daemons: 1 for eth0 and 1 for eth1....

I need to make sure they only listen and respond on their assigned interfaces....

How can I do this?

I have tried vsftpd and proftpd and am unable to find any settings in the conf file to make this happen.

Thanks in advanced for your help!

Maybe you should just use IPtables to forward packets from eth1 to eth0,
forwarding ports 23, and any others you need.

If eth1 is your lan or a set of client computers gateway, just use IPtables and forward all packets to the IP of eth0.

Welcome to LQ.

With vsftpd you can just have 2 config files and set a different "listen_address" in each - see the vsftpd.conf man page for more details.
