Well, the source code for the existing gnu ftp server and client are available. They are written in c++. So why not study them?

sudi16,

Basically you will need to look socket handling under gnu C and ftp commands. Then at server end, your application will be listening for commands sent by clients and to reply to those commands accordingly. For example, if a client sent "dir" command, then you will need to perform requested directory listing and send data back to client. In client application, it will format data and display to user.

Thanks, Kirtimaan
