Talking FTP fine tuning

Ok, I have a box ruinning RH8. I have successfully gotten httpd, vsftpd, and samba running nicely (using samba for a PDC even!) The one problem I keep running into is that when I connect to my FTP with a client and try to download, the server resets the connection after about 5 mins of downloading. It then takes several minutes for me to be able to reconnect. The annoying thing is that this happens several times before the download completes. My box is also directly connected to a router that forwards all requests on port 21 to the RH8 box.

I'm sure there's probably some simple fix, but I have no clue where to start looking to get this resolved. If someone could give me some pointers. Maybe I have something wrong with the config file. I dunno. Thanks for the help.

Luc

Got it

Figured out my problem. I wasn't aware you could specify to the server the port range for PASV. So I did that, and PASV seems to work better for me.
