I am suddently facing this connection error

Do you know why this error occurs?

Thanks in advance.

The error occurs because there is no route to the host... :D
Are you using IP or name?
Checked the cables?
Has it worked, and if so what did you do just before it stopped working?
How is the network connected?

basicly, fist try to ping some where in internet, then another computer in local net. and try to find where is the trouble is. if u cannot ping local box,
there maybe switch or hub trouble, network cable or routing table trouble, etc.

if u can ping local box, and cannot ping external. there maybe a trouble with your gateway box or device. try "tracert" and search the where the packets are stopped.

Well, I can ping local boxes (and every box can ping an internet address except that box)

That box is connected directly to the router through a hub.

good. u have found the trouble.

1- if other devices or boxes use that HUB without any trouble, check network cable (basicly check the ligths at both side, the lights of NIC of that box and HUB side). if lights are not ok, check cable with a cable tester if u have one. if not, at least change the RJ-45 connectors of that cable.

2- if cable is ok, check "network configuration" of that box. if configuration seems ok, try to change NIC. the trouble can be the NIC of that box.
