Question Ftp and subdomain!

Hello!

How do I connect ftp.mydomain.com to my ftp server on port 21 on the dns server.

Is it allso possible to make a subdomain like vnc.mydomain.com and forward it to 192.168.0.1:5800?

I'm using
Slackware 8.0
Bind-1.2.6
Proftpd-1.2.6
