Frequent DHCP problem on Mandrake, with DHCPCD

Hello all,

I asked this question once before, but received little guidance. Here's the scoop:

Once a day, every day, my Mdk 10.0 laptop will not be able to get an IP from the DHCP server, on my Linksys Wireless Router. My guess is that this has to do with the lease renew settings. I had it set to 0(which was equal to one day). Then, to see if it would help, I changed it to about 14 days, which was the max. Still, once a day. Then, I changed it to 12 hours. Still, it would happen once a day. I checked my dhcpcd-wlan.info and saw that the release renew and rebind times halved as I halved the time from 24 hours to 12 hours.

I'm thinking of running this in debug mode so I can maybe figure out what's happening. Is there a way to add the -d switch to the ifup file so it runs a debug automatically? Also, how do I set up the syslog to log it correctly?

Thanks
Amped
