free bsd


how can i recover data from a free bsd.,
what is the file system it uses,
actuall it is a raid box[ioMega 300u] when i boot it it gives me the error can not find path /bin/sh
i booted the harddrive from redhat linux also but i am not able to mount it the hard-disk .it is the secondary master that must be hdc . has anyone got an idea

Hello,

Does free-bsd and other BSD's don't use label's in place of partitions ?

I think it's not the same way to mount it.
I would try to work it with a Knoppix in place of a redhat to recover the data's
