Question Format question

Hello,

I have a iscsi san device connected to my samba linux box. When I create a new mount to this box how should I format the so called virtual drive so that my windows users can see the files? Should I format ext3 and just use smb to allow cifs or format it to ntfs( not even sure if that possible)

Thank You

It doesn't matter how you format it because Windows will access the box over the network (as you said via smb or cifs). Make it whatever Linux file system you like (for example xfs is good for large files >2GB, like videos).
