Fore Marconi ESX-4800 Backbone Switch Controled Via Linux

Hello all,

I have a question about a Fore Marconi ESX-4800 Backbone Switch. I just purchased one of these units. However, the switch did not come with a NSC Control unit. This Unit is a Single or Dual P3 server that is running a striped-down NT4 OS.

My question is, has anyone found a linux program that can emulate the functions of this NT server? The unit connects to the first Ethernet port on the switch, so there is no proprietary interface. Commands are then issued to the switch via a second LAN card in the NSC.

If anyone has any suggestions, they would be most appreciated. I am hope to get this machine up and running by August for use at a 300+ persons LAN Party. If anyone is interested in that, take a look at "Will post URL when my post count is up!
