A dynamic host website like www.noip.com will always resolve a URL to your dynamic IP. It does this by running a client program on your PC which will update your IP address.

my isp had given me a dynamic ip. i wish register a domain name and a service of DNS to resolve my domain to a ip. then, i wish to setup my own network by having a mail server, FTP server, PDC with samba, proxy server and a web server. Also, i wish to make a firewall to protect my site.
now, if i am having a dynamic ip, then, how can my web server configuration is done?? keep changing my ip??? it is pretty ridiculous..
how can i do this without a static ip???

as michaelk stated, this can be done with no-ip, dyndns, etc.

or you can pay for a static ip from your isp.
