firewall (or equivalent to zone alarm for Windows)

Hello, i was wondering if there is a good quality program (like zonealarm for windows) under Linux. I've recently installed a cable modem, and I'm not sure how to configure Linux for this (my protection) I'm not new to linux, but this sounds pretty complex... is there a program i can just download?

if you want want more pro firewall all dist has iptables which is firewall software for linux man iptables
