Firewall options in Linux

I have VPN installed on a Win2K machine, which is in a private network. We have a Linux firewall that is connecting to the internet and the private network. I need to set the ipchains options in Red Hat Linux 7.0 such that the packets to the VPN should be routed to the VPN server. Has anyone tried this before? Thanks in advance for your replies.
