Fedora Core 2 - eth0 'no link present'

Hi, I have a server here (homemade server) with Fedora Core 2 on it. I have a Linksys *something* in it that uses the 'NC100 Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet 10/100' driver. It was working fine before I moved it to its new home (as far out of sight as possible ;) ), and now it can't establish an ethernet link. All of the network settings should be the same as before, as it is connecting to the same network, just in a different place.

The link light on the back is not on, and same for the link light on my router. I get an error 'no link present', which doesn't tell me anything I don't already know.

What's going on? Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you using a new cable? Check the cable.

Try the same network cable too another PC, if it works its a faulty nic (most likely)

If it still doesn't work try a different cable, if it works it means the old cable is faulty. Make sure you have crossover or straight, depending on the situation also :)

failing that try a different port on your switch, if you have one that is.
