Fedora 19 Do not see any workgroups

I have several linux based computers in my house; they are Centos 6 server, Fedora 19 on my desktop, and Fedora 19 on my old Compaq laptop. I originally had Fedora 18 on both of my Fedora systems. On my laptop and my Centos machine I can see workgroups and network shares when I activate the file manager and select browse network. However, on my desktop version the sceen stays white. When I upgraded my Fedora computers I did Fedora-upgrade. Do you think I should do the upgade again?
