So i have tried everything I can think of to get sshd to bloody start. Now i can ssh out, but I need to be able to ssh in to my system. Also the firewall is off and IIRC i have disabled SELinux too.

Code:
# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system.
# SELINUX= can take one of these three values:
# enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced.
# permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing.
# disabled - SELinux is fully disabled.
SELINUX=disabled
# SELINUXTYPE= type of policy in use. Possible values are:
# targeted - Only targeted network daemons are protected.
# strict - Full SELinux protection.
SELINUXTYPE=targeted
Any suggestions, directions, help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you actually looked at the logs that it suggests you look at? /var/log/secure usually.

well none of that is about sshd, so that's not going to help at all... seasrch the file for sshd related events, also your messages file.

well with no more replies i was able to find an answer in the bugzilla for fedora:

Code:
[root@ray ~]# /usr/sbin/sshd -f /etc/ssh/sshd_config
/etc/ssh/sshd_config line 105: Bad yes/no/clientspecified argument: Yes
[root@ray ~]# vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config
[root@ray ~]# service sshd restart
Restarting sshd (via systemctl): [ OK ]
The line in quesiton (105) was the following:

Code:
GatewayPorts Yes
commented that out and i was able to start sshd.
